Haggle on car prices to save millionsFailure to haggle on new car prices could cost British motorists more than £611 million, says research from Sainsbury's Bank. On average, a car purchaser could save £1,585 on the price of a new car, however up to 386,000 people who plan to buy a new car in the period to August 2007 will not haggle over the price. A further 423,000 could also overpay for their new card because they will only haggle slightly over the price. Only 55 per cent of new car purchasers plan to haggle aggressively.
